Our focus is on nurturing the reading and writing skills of students in the kindergarten to second-grade age range. We believe in creating a supportive learning environment that fosters a love for literacy and learning.
Hi, I'm Alicia!
Since I was little, reading has always been a passion of mine. I love the adventures you go on between the pages and exploring new topics and places too. This magic is what I want to share with children.
As a former teacher in the public school system, my 13 years of experience working with 1st through 4th graders has given me insight in how to help children unlock their love of reading and learning. I started my career teaching upper elementary and later switched to teaching 1st grade. It was during those years, that I truly saw how important early reading and writing skills are to later success for learners.
Most recently, I took the leap to homeschool my children and have the opportunity to share my knowledge of teaching to support you and your child on their reading journey!

I earned my B.A. in Elementary Education at Longwood University with minor in History and later my Master of Education in Reading at the University of Virginia.
